In 2019, the Rainbow Six Major was one of the most prestigious events in the Rainbow Six gaming community, with 16 of the best teams from around the world competing for a total prize pool of $500,000 USD. As one of only two majors that year, it was a highly anticipated event with a large global audience.
To ensure that the players were comfortable throughout the six-day event, the organizers required a seating solution that could accommodate the players for extended periods of time. That’s where AK Racing came in. We partnered with the organizers to provide 50 of the most comfortable chairs, complete with personalized Rainbow Six Raleigh Major embroidery on the headrests.
Throughout the broadcast, AK Racing was prominently displayed on stream as the best Rainbow Six gamers in the world competed. The average viewership of the event was an impressive 106,079 viewers, who watched a total of 6,073,009 hours of Rainbow Six. The grand final between Team Empire and G2 Esports saw a peak viewership of 236,249, making it one of the most-watched events in the Rainbow Six community.
